Pressure Transducer Usage for Environmental Chamber Pressure Measurement for Test and Measurement Calibration Labs

Calibration labs often require very specific knowledge of local environmental conditions. Environmental chambers present the ability to control a room's precise pressure, temperature, humidity and photo-stability or light levels. Standard electronic controls for most environmental chambers mean fast, accurate measurement of environmental conditions. Pressure measurement and control is typically regulated through the use of pressure transducers to achieve exact, required barometric conditions. A wide range of sizes from reach-in to walk-in for applications from mechanical testing facilities to archival, and storage applications can be accommodated by a variety of suppliers.

Level Transmitters
Level transmitters or level transducers are used to measure the level of a liquid or bulk solid material (as well as slurries) within a specified space. For each measurement, they provide an electrical output that is proportional to the input level.
Pressure Transmitters
Pressure transmitters translate the low level output of a sensor or transducer to a higher level signal suitable for transmission to a site where it can be further processed. These devices include pressure sensors, transducers, elements, and instruments.
Humidity Transmitters
Humidity transmitters provide electrical outputs that are proportional to humidity inputs. They measure variables such as relative humidity, absolute humidity, specific humidity, moisture content, dew point, temperature, and pressure.
Gas Transmitters
Gas transmitters consist of an enclosure, sensor, and electronics that convert a signal from a gas sensor into an analog output signal (typically 4-20 mA).
