From CST - Computer Simulation Technology
Impedance matching is an essential part of antenna design. The input impedance of an antenna needs to be reasonably close to the amplifier impedance (e.g. 50 Ohm), otherwise the signal is reflected back to the amplifier and not radiated by the antenna.

5.1 Introduction This chapter discusses the design of impedance-matching circuits. It often is necessary to connect components or networks that have different impedances. If these components were to...
Antennas for radiation emission measurement are treated separately from antennas for radiated susceptibility testing to show the importance of different antenna parameters in the two cases. With...
7.4 APERTURE MATCHING AND MUTUAL COUPLING48 Significance of Aperture Matching An antenna is a device that acts as a transformer to provide a good match between a source of power and free space.
2.1 Impedance Matching One of the fundamental principles in radio electronics is that of impedance matching to obtain maximum power transfer from a source to its load. In radio communication...
4.1 Introduction Selecting the antenna coupling circuit to optimize the NF can be one of the most important choices in receiver design. Over the frequency range with which we are concerned, the...
