EAD brushless DC servo motors are available in size 17 (1.57" square) through size 42 (4.2" diameter). Within each frame size, several lengths are available. EAD has selected several windings for each length as reference. Open loop performance curves are provided for a given voltage for each winding. It should be understood that a given brushless DC motor will perform differently at different operating voltages. Generally speaking, brushless DC motors are capable of higher operating speeds if higher supply voltages are used. The given magnetic circuit ( frame size, motor length, etc) defines the slope of the performance curve. Operating the motor at higher voltage (within a limited range) will allow the motor to have an open-loop performance curve that is parallel to the curve shown in the catalog. You can estimate this curve by determining the no-load speed as follows: Products & Services
Gearmotors consist of an AC or DC motor with an integral gearbox or gear head that steps delivered speed up or down.
DC motor drives act as the interface and power supply between a motion controller and a DC motor.
Servo drives provide electrical drive outputs to servo motors in closed-loop motion control systems where position feedback and corrective signals optimize position and speed accuracy.
Servo valves provide closed loop flow or pressure response to an electrical or electronic control signal. They are used in air, gas, and liquid applications.
DC servomotors are generally small and powerful for their size, and easy to control. Common types of DC servomotors include brushless or gear motors.
