Zirconia toughened alumina (ZTA) and other zirconia-alumina ceramics are often used in wear applications as an intermediate solution between alumina and zirconia. ZTA offers increased fracture toughness over alumina at a lower cost compared to pure or high zirconia ceramics. Depending on its purity and density, zirconia toughened alumina is used for refractory tubes, industrial crucibles, analytical labware, wear components, refractory cements and abrasives. Products & Services
Oxide ceramics include alumina, zirconia, silica, aluminum silicate, magnesia and other metal oxide based materials.
Aluminum oxide and alumina ceramics have excellent wear characteristics, chemical resistance, compressive strength, high-temperature properties, and dielectric strength.
Ceramic tube and ceramic rod products are suitable for use in applications requiring high temperature strength, erosion resistance, electrical or thermal insulation, and other specialized characteristics.
Ceramic balls are rolling, spherical elements that are used in check and ball valves, bearings, and other mechanical devices that provide rotary or linear motion. They can provide higher stiffness, lower thermal expansion, lighter weight, increased corrosion resistance, and higher electrical resistance than comparable steel products.
Refractory cements and raw materials consist of castables, rams, aggregates and binders that are resistant to high temperatures.
