This paper describes efforts to achieve first pass design success for an X-band control MMIC
consisting of multi-bit phase shifter, multi-bit attenuator, amplifier and serial-to-parallel
converter functions using MSAG® Process 5. A discussion of the merits of multifunction MMIC
integration using MSAG® Process 5 will be presented, followed by a detailed design description
which is amenable to achieving first-pass design success.
Products & Services
Signal filters block or decrease (attenuate) unwanted frequencies or signal wave characteristics.
PIN diodes are three-layer semiconductor diodes consisting of an intrinsic layer separating heavily doped P and N layers. The charge stored in the intrinsic layer in conjunction with other diode parameters determines the resistance of the diode at RF and microwave frequencies.
Rotating biological contactors are large discs on rotating shafts that are mounted in wastewater tanks, but only partly submerged. As the discs turn, the microorganisms on them repeatedly contact both air and the organic substances in the water.
Audio processors IC are semiconductor devices used to detect, decode and process analog or digital video.
Battery charger ICs are integrated circuits (IC) that are used to charge batteries.
