A chemical company was considering the use of Ultrasonic nozzles for a proprietary coating application. These nozzles were selected because of the fine mist they produce. The Ultrasonic nozzles were tested in a laboratory environment to ensure the spray characteristics were appropriate for the chemical coating application. During testing it was determined that these nozzles provided very low flow rates and were not suited for the large-scale production line. Provide a nozzle for production purposes that would maintain the spray characteristics of the Ultrasonic nozzle (i.e. drop size distribution) while increasing the flow rate by a factor of ten. This would reduce the number of nozzles needed for largescale production line without compromising the drop size properties. Products & Services
Nozzles alter and control the stream or spray pattern of a fluid in a spray coating or dispensing system.
Spray guns and applicators form a coating by directing atomized paints, adhesives, liquids or powders toward a surface.
Spray washers clean parts with a directed, pressurized spray of hot water, detergent or cleaning solution.
Ultrasonic cleaners use high frequency sound waves to create bubbles for loosening and removing dirt, scale, and other impurities from parts.
Degreasers and degreasing equipment remove grease, oil, lubricants or other organic films from parts using aqueous cleaners or solvent vapors.
