Had your car engine oil changed lately? Ever think about all the oil that is changed out from engines, machinery, etc? What do they do with this waste oil and how is it handled? Typically, waste oil is collected at the service sites in storage tanks. The size of the tanks is dependent on the size of the operation. Pumped from storage into transport vehicles, off-loaded at the recycling location into storage for processing indicates excellent opportunities for Blackmer pumps. This recycled oil is often resold as low cost lubricants for use in such applications as industry and mining. Often waste oil contains impurities such as sand, dirt and even metal particles. This requires pumps designed to handle the abuse. Blackmer XL and XLW Series pumps can do this “dirty work.” Fitted with replaceable liners and discs, these pumps are easy and economical to repair. When other pumps lose their efficiency, the XL and XLW pumps constantly self-adjust to deliver “like-new” efficiency.
Products & Services
Positive displacement pumps use a mechanical force such as gears, bladders, pistons, plungers or diaphragms to push liquid through and out of the pump.
Trash pumps are designed to pump large amounts of water that contains hard and soft solids such as mud, leaves, twigs, sand, and sludge. Most devices are portable, heavy-duty centrifugal pumps that feature deeper impeller vanes and larger discharge openings than other pumps.
Wastewater pumps are used in the collection of sewage, effluent, drainage and seepage water.
DC powered pumps use direct current from motor, battery, or solar power to move liquids such as acids, chemicals, lubricants and oil, as well as water, wastewater, and potable water.
Utility pumps are used in many applications such as dewatering low-lying areas, pool covers, and sumps. They are not designed for continuous use.
