The Spin on Precision Spindle Technologies
From setcousa.com

The spindle is the heart of the machine tool, and the most significant component when it comes to making parts. The major theme in manufacturing these days is higher productivity. For the spindle component, this equates to higher speed requirements, increased metal removal rates, longer design life, and improved reliability. Today, machine tools are required to perform a wider variety of tasks—under numerous speed and load conditions— and to undergo frequent tool changes. Under such conditions, spindles must accelerate and decelerate faster and more often, subjecting the spindle/bearing system to severe thermal load conditions. In addition, spindles are now

Products & Services
Machine tool spindles are rotating components used to hold and drive cutting tools or workpieces on lathes, milling machines and other machine tools.
Spindle repair services specialize in the repair and rebuilding of spindles, rotating components that are used to hold and drive cutting tools or work pieces on lathes, milling machines, and other machine tools.
Machining and multiple spindle heads are specialized tool holders that mount on machine tool spindles. Multi-spindle heads carry multiple tools at the same time for performing simultaneous machining operations.
Super precision and spindle bearings are high-precision bearings that are designed for use in machine-tool spindles and other precision applications. Most super precision bearings and spindle bearings carry a high quality-rating such as ABEC-7 or ABEC-9, and run coolly and smoothly at high speeds.
CNC tool changers allow a machine to perform more than one function without requiring an operator to change the tooling.
