The USB-ADP-H Serial Adapter is to be used with the USB2000 or the HR2000 Spectrometer, the USB-BP battery pack, and/or the USB-LS-450 Light Source when interfacing with handheld PCs. When the USB2000 spectrometer is used with the USB Battery Pack, secure the spectrometer and the battery pack with one panel screw and one standoff on the left side, and one modified panel screw (4-40 tapped end) and one standoff on the right side. When a USB-LS-450 Light Source is used, secure it with modified thumbscrew and modified standoff. Then, plug in the USB-ADP-H serial adapter 10-pin connector and secure it in place with the Jackscrew. Plug in the Jornada DB9 cable into the DB9 on the USB-ADP-H serial adapter. The S2000 spectrometer shown below assembled with USB Battery Pack, USB-LS-450 Light Source, USB-ADP-H serial adapter, and the Jornada Handheld PC.
