Nucor Corp., headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., is the nation's largest scrap-metal recycler and steel producer, operating several facilities throughout the US. Nucor Texas, a part of Nucor's Bar Mill Group, operates a facility in Jewett, Tex., where it melts and refines scrap metal in a melt shop to produce steel billets. These are later formed into various steel products, such as rebar, rounds, angles, channels, and flats that are used in commercial, industrial, highway, and residential construction projects
Products & Services
Metal billets, slabs and blooms are large, massive blocks or rounds that are produced from a primary metal or during a recycling process.
Crusher and mill wear parts include commonly-replaced components such as jaws, rolls, blades, plates, and liners for material processing equipment.
Electrical contacts and contact materials are soft, high-conductivity, oxidation- resistant materials that are used in circuit breakers, relays, switches, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) applications.  They often have a second phase in order to provide anti-welding and/or arc resistance.
Master alloys and alloying additives are alloy element concentrates, grain refiners, hardeners, deoxidants and other agents added into a melt or metal powder blend to produce a particular alloy, modify a melt or alter processing characteristics.
Welding alloys are used to melt and fuse pieces of metal together.
