Basic Considerations for Specifying RF and Microwave Filters

From Anatech Microwave Company

One of the fundamental signal processing components in RF and microwave circuits, the filter plays a critical role in determining any system's ultimate performance. Since the electromagnetic spectrum has become more and more densely populated, filter performance has taken on greater significance than ever because interference rejection is of paramount importance.

Products & Services
Antennas are structures or devices used to collect or radiate electromagnetic waves. Search by Specification | Learn more about Antennas
RF attenuators are circuits that reduce the power level of a signal by a certain amount (gain), with little or no reflection. They reduce the output signal with respect to the input and measure the power reduction in decibels (dB).   Search by Specification | Learn more about RF Attenuators
RF diplexers are three-port frequency-dependent devices that may be used as a separator or a combiner of signals. RF duplexers allow a transmitter operating on one frequency and a receiver operating on a different frequency to share a common antenna with a minimum of interaction and degradation of the different RF signals. Search by Specification | Learn more about RF Diplexers and Duplexers
RF waveguide isolators and RF waveguide circulators permit a signal to pass in one direction while providing high isolation to reflected energy in the reverse direction. RF waveguide circulators are passive devices with three or more ports. Learn more about RF Waveguide Isolators and Circulators
RF band pass filters are active or passive circuits that pass signals from a specific frequency band and reject signals from out-of-band frequencies. Surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters, crystal filters, and cavity filters are types of band pass filters.
