Thermography: As an Art Form

The very foundation of the practice of thermography is in the fact that we are all taking pictures of objects. We're framing shots of breakers, paying attention to focus, and distance. We're adjusting our angle by getting up on a ladder to get a better view of that roof leak, or flying over the roof. We are concerned about the brightness of the image, reflections, and background noise. Essentially these are all the skills needed in the practice of sound photography. One of the elements of a good infrared report is the quality of the visual photograph accompanying the thermograph. Of course, as thermographers, there are an additional set of skills required to ply our trade. Let's not go into those now, as I want to share with you my experimentation with art through thermography. We will explore some different mediums available. We'll discuss some methods I have discovered, and lessons learned
