Noncontact infrared temperature sensors absorb ambient infrared (IR) radiation given off by a heated surface. They are used in applications where direct temperature measurement is not possible.
Volumetric liquid flow switches are devices with a switch output used for measuring the flow or quantity of a moving fluid in terms of a unit of volume per unit time, such as liters per minute.
Pipe systems are used for the conveyance of drinking water, waste water, chemicals, heating and cooling fluids, foodstuffs, ultra-pure liquids, slurries, gases, compressed air and vacuum system applications, both for above and below ground applications.
Heat pipes are self-contained heat pumps that can transport heat at high rates over fairly substantial distances with no external pumping power.
Vortex flow meters are flow sensors that detect the frequency of vortices shed by a bluff body placed in a flow stream. The frequency of the vortices is proportional to the flow velocity.

This paper will review and discuss the determination of the emissivity of common construction materials to aid the investigator during infrared inspections/surveys of building envelope systems.

nderstanding an object's emissivity, or its characteristic "radiance" is a critical component in the proper handling of infrared measurements. Concisely, emissivity is the ratio of radiation emitted...

Emissivity is the measure of an object's ability to emit infrared energy. Emitted energy indicates the temperature of the object. Emissivity can have a value from 0 (shiny mirror) to 1.0 (blackbody).

The first and most important condition for this calculation is the ‘apparent’ temperature of the energy lost calculation. Many different building materials are used in the construction of structures...

Accurately evaluating either gas absorption or emission is a very complicated matter
that involves quantum physics. The spectral nature of gaseous matter attributes
to this complexity. To avoid...
