Jog Shuttle Controller

The Jog/Shuttle Controller (PN 30616) is a human interface device to aid speedy and accurate man¬ual positioning of the axes of the PCNC1100. It serves the role of the device often termed an Electronic Handwheel or MPG. The ring can be turned clockwise or counter clockwise and, when re¬leased, the spring returns it to the central position. It is used to move any of the four axes of the machine. The speed of movement depends on the distance the ring is turned and the direction of movement depends on the direction of rota¬tion; clockwise moves the chosen axis in the positive direction of mo¬tion. The overall range of speeds can be limited by using the control software's Slow Jog Rate DRO. The central jog wheel has detents or clicks so it rotates in distinct steps. Each step of the wheel is a step of the chosen axis. The size of the step is defined by a DRO (digital readout) on the screen of the control software.
