From Condensed Handbook of Measurement and Control, 3rd Edition

Overview

The measurement and control engineer is constantly faced with the challenge of selecting the proper material in contact with the process. Table B-1 has been compiled from literature published by various material suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and reference publishers. It gives a general indication of how different fluids react when in contact with certain materials (metals and nonmetals) used in measurement and control.

Products & Services
Thermocouple Wire
Thermocouple wire is used to make or extend thermocouples. The wire connects thermocouples from the sensing point to the point of cold junction compensation (CJC).
O-rings
O-rings are solid-rubber seals that are shaped like a doughnut. When pressed between two mating surfaces,  O-rings block the passage of liquids or gases.
Compressed Air and Vortex Cooling Tubes
Compressed air and vortex cooling tubes are used for spot heating or cooling applications.
Heat Treatment Salts
Heat treatment salt is melted to form a molten salt bath, which is used to anneal, solution treat, quench or harden, temper, clean, strip, descale, braze, sodler, nitride, carbonitride, carbuize, and cure rubber.
Circulation Heaters
Circulation heaters are used to heat moving or circulating fluids.
