Emission Values of Transmission Line Terminals Having More Than 10 Years in Operation - Chesf

The loading of a transmission line involves many variables, from which the following deserve to be highlighted: Climatic conditions - wind, environment temperature, humidity, pollution; Conductor line - nominal current, line's surface material; Thermal limit for which the TL - Transmission Line - was projected. Various parameters are involved in the calculation to reach the loading value, among which are the emissions and absorption coefficients of the line's surface material. These coefficients have great influence in the loading limit calculation because they determine how much thermal energy will be radiated and how much will be absorbed by solar incidence. This last one preponderates during the day and in sunnier regions, reducing the loading limit permitted to avoid the TL to exceed the project's thermal limit. The following illustration shows the process of the thermal exchanges associated to the TLs:
