Patton 2800 Solutions - Enterprise Networking

From Patton Electronics Co.

The Patton 2800 Remote Access Server can help corporations provide cost-effective data access for branch offices, and can connect those offices to the corporate headquarters. In the Enterprise Network Solution (below), local telecommuters call into the DSP modems built into Patton 2800s in the Los Angeles and Boston branch offices. Because these telecommuters are calling local phone numbers, the company is spared the long distance charges associated with distant telecommuters dialing directly into the corporate headquarters (New York). The two branch office 2800s then route telecommuter traffic onto the enterprise data network using cost effective fractional T1 service. At the New York Headquarters, telecommuter traffic is routed through another Patton 2800 and onto an Ethernet LAN. A separate connection to an ISP links the entire enterprise network to the Internet. If necessary, an Ethernet LAN can be connected to each of the Patton 2800s at the branch offices as well. And telecommuters in the local dialing area of the New York headquarters would call directly into the Patton 2800 at that location.

Products & Services
Bit error rate testers are devices or procedures that measure the bit error rate (BER) for a specific transmission. Search by Specification | Learn more about Bit Error Rate Testers
Network switches route packets between ports at the OSI layer 2, which means that (in Ethernet) the switches decide where incoming packets are transferred to, based on the NIC's 48-bit address. Search by Specification | Learn more about Network Switches
Network routers are protocol-dependent devices that connect subnetworks. They are also used to break down a large network into smaller subnetworks. Search by Specification | Learn more about Network Routers
Network gateways interconnect networks with different, incompatible communication protocols. Search by Specification | Learn more about Network Gateways
Serial data converters are used to interconnect two different serial standards, such as RS232 to RS422, USB to RS232, etc. Search by Specification | Learn more about Serial Data Converters
