Salco Products designs, custom assembles, and distributes plastic and metal products used in the loading and unloading of railroad hopper cars, tank cars, pressure differential cars, and truck trailers. In fact, Salco is the world's largest supplier of round hatch covers for the railroad industry with a 98 percent market share. The company serves a wide array of industries throughout North America, including railroad, chemical, petroleum, food, plastics, minerals, and hazardous waste. Customers such as Rescar Industries, Union Tank, GATX, Cargill, Dial, Chevron, Dow Chemical, ADM, and Tyco turn to Salco every day to meet their transportation needs. Salco is headquartered in Lemont, Ill. and also operates a sales and distribution center in Tomball, Texas.

Salco supplies replacement parts and provides maintenance services for existing rail cars and custom products for installation on new cars. The company's product line includes vented and non-vented hatch covers, outlet gate replacement parts, loading/unloading adapters, gaskets, seals and filters for tank and hopper cars, safety vent housings, and many other specialty parts.
