Vessels that contain materials that have process turbulence, substantial foam or limited space that may cause echo distortion can use ultrasonic sensors for continuous level measurement by installing a still-pipe to aid the ultrasonic sensor's signal. The use of a still-pipe isolates the sensor's transmitted signal and the return echo, providing for improved sensor performance. It can also be used to protect the nozzle from damage due to flying objects. The first consideration is the proper selection of ultrasonic sensor to be used for the application. There are several key considerations that should be made: Products & Services
Linear position sensors and switches, ultrasonic, are used for position and displacement sensing, using ultrasonic technology.
Ultrasonic proximity sensors use reflected or transmitted ultrasonic waves to detect the presence or absence of a target component.
Liquid level sensors are used to detect liquid levels or interfaces between liquids such as oil and water or liquids and solids.
Ultrasonic instruments use beams of high frequency, short wave signals to inspect, monitor, and measure materials and components.
Open channel flow sensors measure fluid flow through open channels.
