Technical Bulletin #3 - High-Response, Low-Noise Signal Conditioners

From Soltec Corporation
The CDV-700A/CDA-700A series are advanced signal conditioners specially developed for high re¬sponse and low noise.
Through incorporation of sophisticated CPU, they offer improved operating ease and brand-new fea¬tures not available with earlier CDV-230C/CDA-230C series. As before, the CDV model features constant-voltage type excitation; the CDA model, constant-current excitation.
Basically the 700A models were created for use in combination with strain gages. And thanks to their remarkable high response characteristics, they are ideal for measuring shocks and other rapidly chang¬ing phenomena. They can also be used as high-gain general-purpose DC amplifiers.
The new CDV-700A/CDA-700A can be considered companion models to our previously released DPM-700B series of AC-excitation type dynamic strain amplifies. The DPM models have already garnered great trust and praise in the market for their outstand¬ingly compact dimensions, light weight, versatility and easy operation.
Today, as strain-gage type measurement takes on ever greater importance, the role of signal conditioners is becoming increasingly vital. This is why at KYOWA, we aim to continue to do everything we can to improve our current offerings and to develop new and better products for tomorrow.
Products & Services
Bridge conditioners are instruments that provide excitation and support for strain gages, Wheatstone bridges, load cells, and sensors. They also include circuitry for signal conditioning, amplification, and processing.
Voltage and current signal conditioners amplify or modulate AC or DC current or voltage and process signals to improve transmission.
Signal conditioner chips are data acquisition devices that refine sensor outputs so that they can be read by computer boards or other IC devices.
Charge and capacitive signal conditioning modules or systems amplify, attenuate, filter and/or convert a charge signal from an accelerometer, load cell, pressure transducer, displacement transducer or other type of capacitive sensor.
Sensor interface and excitation IC chips are used as interfaces to sensors and other devices. The input at the interface collects data from the sensor and the output of the interface sends the data to a computer or other suitable device.
