From Molex

Molex offers a complete line of Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC) products to meet the needs of networking applications running up to 2 gigabits per second (Gbps). A multisourced, industry-standard system, our GBIC products feature a common design interface for use with multiple data protocols, including Fibre Channel and Gigabit Ethernet. The newest addition to the GBIC product family is the single-piece dual-stack assembly which allows for two GBIC frames to be vertically stacked in approximately the same PCB area as the standard single port GBIC, optimizing board real estate for two GBIC ports. Molex offers both optical and copper modules. Optical modules are available in short- and long-wavelength Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel versions. The optical GBICs are compact optical transceivers capable of gigabit optical transmission over singlemode fiber for distances up to 10.0km (6.2mi) and over multimode fiber for distances up to 500.0m (.3mi). The hot pluggable copper GBIC is available in DB-9, HSSDC or 1000BASE-T RJ-45 style connectors. All provide a low-cost, high-performance data link for reliable communications at distances of 30.0m (98.0') over high-quality equalized copper cable.

Products & Services
Power Connectors
Power connectors transfer AC or DC through a variety of electronic devices and are used in a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Power connectors range from simple AC or DC inlets and outlets to sophisticated power entry modules
Flexible Circuits
Flexible circuits use polyimide films and other foldable substrates to meet the requirements of complex electronic manufacturing applications.
Terminal Blocks
Terminal blocks are modular, insulated blocks that secure two or more wires together. Terminal blocks consist of an insulating body and a clamping device. Their flexibility allows wiring to be centralized and makes it easier to maintain complex control circuits.
Automotive Electrical Connectors
Automotive Electrical Connectors are designed to be used specifically in vehicles.
Wire to Board Connectors
Wire-to-board connectors are used to interconnect printed circuit boards (PCBs) by using connectors attached to wires.
