The MTC Smart Advisor High Speed Camera System for the Press Room

The MTC Smart Advisor System using MD Web Inspection provides 100% inspection of all paper coming into the press line. The Smart Advisor System is a Kiosk System designed for Press Lines. The rack has an enclosed operation station and is designed for placement next to the control room and designed for simple plug and play and easy mobility to other lines. The system accommodates four to eight cameras and includes color-coded cabling for fast, simple installation. The system provides operators with real time (defect and break) information to instantly help determine the root cause. Once the root cause is known, corrective action can be taken to avoid reoccurrence in the process. By automatically reporting these defects each incident can be shared with the paper roll suppliers in jpeg and movie format to improve future quality coming into the plant. Systems are being used to enable operators to determine the root cause of process issues, correct them and realize incredible savings and to increase valuable run time.
