Handling Procedure: The ketchup and mustard bottles will be filled by an automatic center, capped and moved down the conveyor to a staging area. Once located at the staging area, a total of sixty (60) bottles are picked up and placed in a shipping box and palletized.
Problem: The bottles themselves are not heavy (2.25 oz), however a total of 60 are required to fill a box. This means the operator will pick up as many as possible with each hand to place in the box. This becomes a very repetitive operation. Also when the bottles line up at the end of the conveyor, in the lanes, they will not fall into the same orientation as required for placement in the box.
Restrictions:
•?Ketchup and mustard bottles for hotels, 2.25 oz each.
•?Able to pick up a full load of sixty (60) bottles to fill a shipping carton.
•?Grip area is on the neck and cap of the bottles, some bottles have plastic seals around the cap.
•?Prevent release unless the bottles are firmly supported in the shipping carton.
•?Able to fill five (5) cases per minute.
•?18 lb. maximum payload capacity.
