Handling Procedure: Pick up the differential from the mold using the fork/trap tool. Once the differential is picked up, it will be removed from the mold, manually rotated 180??for the operator to remove any sand left in the differential, rotated 180??to its original position and placed on a pallet at floor level.
Problem: The differentials are not large, but are heavy and hot. While there was only one size of differential, the operator needs to reach into the mold to extract the part and manually rotate it.
Restrictions:
*?Dirty and hot environment.
*?Prevent release unless the differential is set down on the pallet.
*?100 lb. maximum payload capacity.
*?Part temperature of 800?.
*?Parts are 18.0" in diameter and 10.5" in height.
Solutions:
*?Model K-96 on a powered trolley, with 400 lbs. tooling/payload capacity, 66.0" of vertical lift and 360??main post rotation.
