After NOW decided on Span-Track for their new carton flow areas, they had to decide on how to best implement it. 'We tried to place Span-Track by activity mode,” Petrulis said. 'That meant that the high-active mode products had to get to the picker quicker and it had to be accessible so it's a quick pick.”

NOW management also needed to see what products worked next to each other. 'We try to have the product spread out through all our zones and bays so one person isn't being overwhelmed while another stands around with their hands on their hips.”

Petrulis concluded, 'Span-Track is an excellent product. It performs well and is super easy to install. It fits in very well at our facility—especially with the other material handling equipment we have. The most positive thing about Span-Track is its 'user friendliness.' Managers and pickers love it! When they're happy, they're doing a better job and that means improved customer service.”
