From Mitsubishi EDM/Laser
Haas Precision Corporation is located in Oldcastle, Ontario, one of the Canadian suburbs of Detroit. So close to ‘Motor City’, but only distantly related, the firm serves primarily the aerospace, medical, power generation, petroleum, and nuclear industries. It’s a business plan that provides the Haas brothers with diverse and interesting projects, while insulating them from the ups and downs of the auto industry.
Brothers Walter and Branko Haas spent six months planning before they opened the doors of Haas Precision Corporation in 2002. The brothers' industry experience goes back to 1985, and Walter has worked with Mitsubishi EDM since 1993. With two Mitsubishi wire EDMs and 2,500 square feet of space, the brothers’ business venture got off to a good start. The very next year found them buying more machines and moving into their present facility. They now have 12 employees and run two shifts.
