SOLTEC Recorder Tests Critical Aircraft Winch

From SOLTEC Corporation

Some of the uses of the TA220-2000 series recorder can range from diagnosing intermittent problems with local city electric transit trolleys, determining wind turbine generator faults to nuclear turbine diagnosis and cooling pipe dynamics and even to military testing involving thermal dynamics of projectile tubes.

Airborne military and commercial projects often require aerial deployment of sensors with cable tethers. Applications include Antennas, Dipping Sonar, Environmental Sensors, Nuclear Radiation, and Visual Inspections. These sensors transmit data via cable to the A/C real time data collection and analysis systems. To safely accomplish the cable with sensor deployment and recovery, a complex winch winding mechanism is used.
