From Sensidyne, LP
Selectrive Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems will be installed on 100,000 MW of U.S. coal-fired generating capacity by 2004. SCR investment for Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) control will be the largest for any control strategy implemented to date. Many oil and gas-fired generating stations, industrial boilers, co-generation, and combined cycle plants already use SCR or SNCR systems to comply with current and future NOx emission standards. An SCR system is installed in the flue work, often between the economizer and the air heater. An ammonia injection area is followed by a reactor section downstream, which contains catalyst layers to enhance the NOx reduction. The use of the catalyst means that system will function at much lower flue gas temperatures. Soot-blowers or other cleaning measures are utilized in the reactor, depending upon the degree of dust loading. Products & Services
Gas detectors and gas sensors interact with a gas to initiate the measurement of its concentration. The detector or sensor then provides output to an instrument to display the measurements.
