From Brady Corporation
The Department of Defense's UID program features specific labeling protocols. Brady's new system helps users wade through the complicated definitions and requirements to make compliance faster and easier. The Department of Defense's UID program was launched to improve the management of personal property, real property, personnel, and roles. Essentially, the program is designed to provide the Department of Defense with a flexible tool for asset management, with markings that contain enough specific data to distinguish any given item from any other like or unlike item. Item Unique Identification (IUID) is part of the UID program that focuses on DoD's personal property. The program calls for labeling of qualifying items with a permanent 2D Data Matrix, which is then encoded with the Unique Item identifier (UII). The UII contains unique data elements, including the enterprise identifier, a serial number, and/or a part number to uniquely identify an item. The UII is then stored in the IUID Registry, which is maintained by the Defense Logistics Information Service. Products & Services
RFID software is used to process data sent to and received from radio frequency identification (RFID) devices such as RFID readers, writers, and printers.
Biosensors, microarrays, biochips and lab-on-chip (LOC) products are microscale devices for biological, biochemical and chemical assays. They consist of microfluidic channels and a biodetector or microsensor arrays.
ID card readers and encoders are used to transmit personal information onto various forms of storage media and retrieve this data as needed.
Analytical laboratory services detect, classify and/or assay chemical, material, biological, geological and environmental samples.
