From Deublin Co.
For several applications such as machine tools, it is necessary to transfer coolants through the spindle and lubricating oil to the tool changer into the spindle for processing. There may also be other cases where hydraulic oil must be tramsferred through the rotating part of a machine for actuating purposes and water for cooling purposes. According to engineers the current product, the well-known DEU-PLEX rotating union, still had room for improvement. Despite good performance, they believed that they could further enhance the system. Particularly with regard to the use of coolants, which carry smallest particles arising in the cutting process, an abrasive effect on the mechanical seal of a rotating union cannot be avoided. If the part carrying the coolant is within an integrated two-way rotating union, the latter must be changed completely in case of wear - the first starting point. Product Announcements
