XGTD is a general purpose ray-based electromagnetic analysis tool capable of modeling propagation in the vicinity of complicated objects (aircraft, vehicles, anechoic chambers, etc.), performing antenna placement analysis, and determining the effects of objects on an antenna's far zone pattern. It predicts how the locations of the transmitters and receivers interact with general geometry to calculate the signal strength and far zone antenna gain. Far zone radar cross section (RCS) can be calculated for plane waves incident on the geometry and co- and cross-polarized components can be observed versus frequency or bistatic scattering angle. XGTD models the physical characteristics of objects and anechoic chambers, performs the electromagnetic calculations, and then evaluates the signal propagation characteristics. Products & Services
Anechoic chambers are specialized chambers designed for electromagnetic or sound waves.
