Richard: there was an interesting comment you made earlier, on user access control vs. end-point access control. Can you elaborate on this? Specifically, how would user-based access control help to prevent infected machines from being on the network? Especially considering the mobile "user" who can log-in from various endpoints in and out of the LAN? : Actually I don't care about infected machines. If a user authenticates you care about what group they are in and what privileges to grant them. Their machine is another issue. Just filter out the bad stuff. :
