   Coating
   Your choices are...
Antireflection       Thin film coating used to reduce reflection.  The idea behind anti-reflection coatings is that the creation of a double interface by means of a thin film gives you two reflected waves. If these waves are out of phase, they partially or totally cancel. If the coating is a quarter wavelength thickness and the coating has an index of refraction less that the glass it is coating then the two reflections are 180 degrees out of phase.
Beamsplitter       A coating designed to divide a beam into two or more beams separate beams when applied to a substrate.
Dielectric       A high-reflectance coating consisting of alternating layers of quarter-wave film of a higher refractive index and lower refractive index than the substrate.  Such coatings can be made very specific to a reflected wavelength or, by varying the layers' thicknesses or film indexes, spread over a wide wavelength interval.
Filter       A coating used to block a specific range of wavelengths such as infrared or ultraviolet, etc.
High-Reflector       A coating that can be used to produce mirrors which reflect greater than 99% of the light which falls on them.
ITO       indium tin oxide coatings are alloys that are sputtered as a transparent conductive film. The result is a conductive substrate.
Metal       The coating material is metal.
Mirror       A coating used to produce a reflective surface.
Protective       A hard coating that protects the substrate from scratching or damage, without altering the optical properties.
Other       Other coating material not listed.

   Wavelength Range
   Your choices are...
UV       The coating is designed for use in the UV.  Ultraviolet is the invisible region of the spectrum from 1 to 400 nm.
Visible       The spectral region that can be perceived by the eye.  The spectral range is from 400 to 750 nm.
IR       The invisible portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that lies between .75 and 1000 micrometers.
Other       Other wavelength range not listed.
