Thermax will design and build the absorption chiller for the University of Toledo's green data center project. Absorption chillers use waste heat as their energy source and environmentally-friendly water as the refrigerant.
A 40 Ton absorption chiller designed and built by Thermax will provide air conditioning to PGW's corporate headquarters using microturbine exhaust gases as part of their State-of-the Art Combined Heat and Power Project.
A typical data center uses energy equivalent to 200 homes. 50% less energy is consumed using a new design concept. Thermax chillers are an integral part of this technology, using harmless water as the refrigerant.
Thermax has designed and commissioned a first-of-a kind solar air conditioning system. Thermax integrated a triple effect chiller and solar parabolic concentrators, achieving a 30% space reduction and a 20% increase in cooling efficiency.
