When Kimastle Corporation/Dager Systems (Chesterfi eld, MI) started looking for an updated control architecture for their new generation of Edge Folding machines, they had a vision – to elevate the industry standard for dimensional stability and adjustability while controlling costs. (read more)
Reduce Validation Costs by Eliminating Re-Parameterization
With the ever increasing need for improved quality and product traceability, there is a growing use of smart sensing devices on automated assembly and packaging lines in the Life Sciences Industry. (read more)
The precise position control and continuous positioning of rotational movements are critical in many applications. Balluff inclination sensors measure the deviation on a horizontal axis of up to 360°. Balluff inclination sensors can operate in temperatures down to – 40 °C and require very little space for mounting. (read more)
Combine low and high frequency read/write heads with I/O in one device.
Only the BIS V system has an integrated IO-Link master and four antenna channels that can be configured separately and enable the connection of up to four read/write heads. This saves costs, as fewer evaluation units are needed. (read more)
Balluff's new BunkerProx® sensor represents a new concept in inductive sensor protection. Intended for the most rugged and physically abusive welding and metalworking applications, BunkerProx incorporates a robust design that can take the abuse of heavy part loading and welding operations. Balluff has raised the bar in photoelectrics with the True-color Sensor BFS 33. The sensor succeeds where existing RGB sensors reach their limits by using the lab color space. The sensor can detect minute differences in color on injection molded parts and opens up a wealth of new possibilities in color detection. (read more)
Rugged sensors for tough applications.
Inductive Steelface sensors are used in particularly harsh environments and applications that are too extreme for standard sensors.
For error-proofing and part-present applications in heavy manufacturing, inductive sensors are often - by necessity - placed directly in harm’s way. (read more)
Did you know that Balluff has extended its offering of transparent object detection? If you have had problems in the past detecting glass, plastic, or water, we've got solutions for you! We are also using sensing modes that in the past were typically not used. (read more)

Think of a remote "slice" I/O solution. In a typical application, the communication head and the power supply sit on the left hand side and are followed along the backplane by the individual I/O devices, such as discrete 24V input cards or 0-10V analog cards. Usually there are a limited number of slots available in the backplane and individual slices of control components can be inserted. (read more)
