Mach III will modify its catalog model friction clutches, brakes and torque limiters or create an original design that connects to the shaft the way you prefer. Some options are shown. (read more)
This torque limiter is part of an assembly used to open and close a gate valve. The Morse taper input connects to a handheld power tool while the female square output connects to a square boss on the valve assembly. The torque limiter prevents over-tightening of the valve. (read more)
Sealed clutch with aluminum exterior is designed to operate in heavy wash down environments. Model shown has a custom output flange, other design options are available from Mach III Clutch, Inc. (read more)
Developed as a retrofit replacement for a tooth clutch, this compact air actuated friction clutch provides a soft start and can be engaged dynamically at higher speeds. (read more)
Friction clutches from Mach III Clutch, Inc. ship complete with the required pulley, sheave or sprocket. The customer who purchased this C8D3K-STH heavy duty, end of shaft mounted friction clutch required a 15 Inch O.D. 3-5V groove pulley on the pilot. Mach III manufactured both the clutch and pulley and shipped the complete assembly within four weeks. (read more)
Custom designed stainless steel torque limiter provides overload protection between 1.0 Inch and 0.75 Inch Square Shafts. Other sizes, finishes and shaft geometries available. (read more)
Mach III Clutch, Inc. offers covered clutches, brakes and torque limiters for applications where dust water or other contaminants may cause premature wear. (read more)
Mach III Clutch, Inc. introduces their latest catalog, containing 59 pages of new and
updated product information about the 247 standard industrial pneumatic clutches, brakes, combination clutch-brakes, tension control clutches and brakes and mechanical torque limiters made by the company.

To avoid overhung load, Mach III produced the pictured clutch with an elongated pilot to provide proper support for the pulley by centering it over the bronze bushing. (read more)
Used on chain driven live roller conveyors (CDLR), these multi-disc air clutches offer a large amount of torque in a small package. (read more)
Mach III Clutch simplifies design with downloadable 3D models for all catalog
products in IGS, IPT & STP formats.

Mach III modifies catalog product designs to accommodate special environments. This unit, used in food processing machinery had to be wash down compatible and meet food safety standards. It is constructed of stainless steel, is sealed and wash down compatible. (read more)
A Mach III 58PI SensiFlex® tension control clutch was required on a laminating machine, but the design called for connection to a pulley that was too small to fit on the clutch's pilot. Mach III created a custom adapter to connect the pulley so the OEM did not have to modify the machine design. (read more)
SensiFlex® ULOW tension control clutches and brakes include the new Mach III ULOW (ultra-low coefficient) friction facings and have 45% lower maximum torque capacities than their identically sized SensiFlex® counterparts with LOCO friction facings. Lower torque capacity is an advantage for narrow web converting applications where tensions are low. Click to view video demo. (read more)
Mach III flexible mechanical friction torque limiter couplings transmit a fixed amount of torque from one shaft to another until an overload is experienced. The friction torque limiter then slips until the overload ceases. The elastomeric element compensates for up to 3 degrees of angular misalignment and up to 0.040 parallel offset between shafts. (read more)
This friction clutch from Mach III Clutch, Inc. has been modified to include a pilot mounted coupling hub which mates with a spider coupling (a.k.a. jaw coupling). This clutch is drop-in ready to simplify installation. (read more)
Mach III solves the problem of costly downtime for a facility using hand operated chain wheels with a custom torque limiter. (read more)
Mach III was contacted by a facility which uses large manually operated control valves. The quarter-turn valves are driven through right angle worm reducers by hand operated chain wheels. Costly downtime failures were occurring when excess force was applied to the worm reducer via the chain wheel (read more)
Mach III manufactures enclosed brakes in both air engaged and spring set-air release models for environments where moisture, contamination and/or food handling is a factor. The brake shown here was recently featured in a story in Power Transmission Engineering Magazine. (read more)
Mach III Clutch was contacted by a distributor seeking a replacement for a Conway 858-14 Stationaire Clutch Mechanism sought by a paper mill. After reviewing the application along with photographs and drawings provided by the customer, Mach III designed the MBR3K-001. An eleven inch friction diameter clutch with a 2.9375 Inch bore, the MBR3K-001 assembly includes both the clutch mechanis... (read more)
Mach III clutches were used in the drive system that allowed elements of the scene (boats and steel girders) to free-fall into the water during the performance and then be quickly reset to their original positions before the arrival of the next visitors. (read more)
Mounts between motor and gear reducer for overload protection. (read more)
This custom spring set brake allows the connection of a metric servo motor and an english gear reducer without modifying either component or the machine design. (read more)
Designed to start and stop the shaft with input through daisy chained sprockets, this unit provides both clutch and brake in one unit for simplified installation and control. (read more)
Mach III delivers application specific solutions with custom clutches and brakes developed through collaboration with its customers. (read more)
