Maintaining 300°C Gap Uniformity on Extruder Dies
Capacitec is introducing the new
non-contact capacitive gap measurement GPD sensor wand that measures extruder lips gaps
at operation temperatures up to 300°C. It functions the same
as standard dual sensor wands except it opens up new possibilities for use in
considerably hotter extrusion and coating die processes. Currently there are no
electronic gap gauging tools to confirm gap sizes in...

Capacitec 1000C Non-Contact Displacement Sensors
Since the 1970's, Capacitec high temperature non-contact
sensing technology has been in use in North America, Europe and Japan to solve
the most demanding applications, measuring displacement of up to 0.4" (10 mm),
within extreme temperature environments where resolution of one micron or better
is a requirement.

Wind Turbine rotor/stator gap measurement
As a more precise and repeatable method, Gapman "an electronic feeler gage" is used instead of feeler gages to set the gap between the rotor poles and the stator. This gap is particularly critical at the 6 o'clock position due to the gravity effect of the heavy rotor shaft and magnetic assemblies. In a 1.65 kW model 50 to 60 individual pole gaps must measured.

High Temp (800°C) Proximity Sensors
Capacitec offers high temperature (up to 800°C) linear proximity sensors by transferring their experience in high temp non-contact displacement technology to engineers looking for the need to measure absence/presence in extreme environments. Capacitec also offers standard temperature linear prox sensors in very small diameters down to 0.250 inch/6.35 mm.

High Temp (1000°C) NonContact Displacement Sensors
Capacitec is the world leader in the manufacture of small, high temperature (up to 1832°F (1000°C) capacitive non-contact displacement sensors and systems. Since the 1970's this technology has been used in Europe, the US and Japan to solve the most demanding applications for the measurement of small displacements (less than 2mm) and small gaps (0.23 to 4mm) in extreme temperature environments. ...

Thin gap sensors
Engineers have long been searching for reliable and repeatable methods to measure thin gaps between 0.004" (0.11mm) and 0.20" (5mm). Mechanical contact methods such as feeler gauges, shims and calipers had long been the only available method to measure gaps, even in areas where damage could be caused to polished or sensitive surfaces.

High Temp CVD to Roller Gap Measurement Sensors
Capacitec is supplying high temperature (800°C) capacitive non contact displacement sensors to maintain the gap between a Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) head and a metal foil during the production of Flexible Solar Cell Laminates. A roll-to-roll production process is used in the deposition of various active and non active ultra thin layers onto the solar cell.

“Electronic Feeler Gage” for Shimming Operation
Gapman™ is the world's first high precision, non-contact, portable electronic gap measurement gage used in aircraft assembly during shimming operations. It can measure gaps down to 0.005" (127 microns) between all metal and composite surfaces with typical accuracy of +/- 0.0005" (12.7 microns) or better.

Electronic Racks
The Series 4000 Capacitec® amplifiers and racks were designed to offer the best signal to noise ratio and wide band width response options in a simple modular package. The 4000 Series was built upon our 20 year proven foundation of 3000 Series amplifiers (3101-SP, 3200, 3201-SP) still in operation. Utilization of individual pins in a 32

Button Sensor Probe Series
A tremendous advantage in measuring displacement and part dimensional changes can be gained by use of thin "side-looking" Capacitec® button probes. Their forte is in thin gap inspection and tolerances measured inboard and hidden in difficult to investigate products. They are often used in pairs to compensate for part misalignment and gage positioning.
