Electrochemical, Photochemical, and Chemical Milling Services

Tech Met provides reclamation services for sputtering targets. Services include machine and chemical removal of bulk copper, brass, or aluminum backing plates followed by a variety of chemical treatments for the removal of metal contaminants. Targets processed include titanium, tatalum and others. (read more)

Chemical milling can be done from all surfaces or selectively via masking. Milling is done to print or specification. Tech Met has developed a patented technology for etching a surface texture on orthopedic implants for improved osseointegration. This technology provides several advantages over porous coating or plasma spray. This technology has been used on thousands of devices such as hip stems and lumbar implants. Surface Engineering Services

Tech Met has developed methods for producing optimized roughened surfaces that enhance the bond strength of metals to composite substrates. This method utilizes chemical milling processes and proprietary masking techniques to increase surface roughness. The surface texturing characteristics may be contolled for adaptation to specific needs. (read more)
