The FMA is a professional organization with more than 2,300 individual and company members working together to improve the metal forming and fabricating industry. Since 1970, FMA has brought metal fabricators and equipment manufacturers together through technology councils, educational programs, networking events, and the FABTECH International & AWS Welding Show. The latest technology is analyzed and showcased in Fabricators & Manufacturers Association’s official trade publications: The FABRICATOR®, TPJ -The Tube & Pipe Journal®, and Practical Welding Today®. Fabricators & Manufacturers Association’s technology affiliate, the Tube & Pipe Association, International (TPA) focuses on the unique needs of the tube and pipe producing and fabricating industry.
In addition, Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs, the foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association provides funding for grants to run summer manufacturing camps serving junior high and high school students to introduce them to manufacturing career options, and scholarships to support students pursuing trade school training or college degree programs leading to careers in manufacturing.
