About

The success story of Phillips Plastics Corporation® began in 1964 in a northern Wisconsin creamery, when co-founders Robert Cervenka and Louie Vokurka had a vision for a molding company. This vision, along with a press dubbed “Lester” and a handful of people, helped create what has become one of the largest and most respected injection molders in the country. Today, Phillips boasts annual sales of over $240 million, employing 1,600 people in 15 locations, occupying over 718,000 square feet.

At Phillips Plastics they believe that early collaboration is the driving force behind product success. By unifying efforts with their customers and alliance partners; as well as internally, between industrial designers, engineers, and manufacturing representatives at the concept phase, a holistic approach to product development is achieved. This practice ensures that a multi-talented team is responsible for creating the best product solutions; solutions that take into account ergonomics and aesthetics as well as functionality and manufacturability from the very beginning of the program.

Aided by on-site rapid prototyping services, lead times are expedited and costs reduced when these capabilities are used for design verification, marketing models, clinical testing, and even market-entry production. For Phillips’ customers, differentiating their product in the marketplace begins at their Design Development Centers in Wisconsin and California.

With a blend of in-house experts and advanced processes, Phillips Plastics offers a cost-effective and streamlined process focusing on continuous improvements and quality assurance. Phillips’ state-of-the-art facilities adhere to rigorous ISO 14001, TS 16949:2002 ISO 9001:2000, ISO 13485:2003, and FDA quality standards.

At Phillips Plastics all areas of the business are focused on providing superior quality control and process improvements. This focus results in superior components, lower rejects, and unparalleled part-to-part repeatability in the marketplace. From high strength materials like ceramics and magnesium to capabilities such as micro and multi-shot molding, Phillips has what it takes to be a one-stop shop for design through distribution programs.
