- Strip ΒΌ" (6.3 mm) insulation from wire.
- Raise selector knob and rotate until arrow is aligned with wire size to be crimped.
- Loosen lock nut, turn adjusting screw in until it stops.
- Insert contact with barrel up. Turn adjusting screw counter clockwise until contact is flush with indentor cover. Tighten lock nut.
- Insert wire into contact. Contact must be centered between indicators. Close handles until crimp cycle is completed.
- Release handles and remove crimped contact.
- Inspect terminal to insure that all strands are in crimp barrel.
NOTE: Tool must be readjusted for each type/size of contact.

Contact Insertion
- Grasp crimped contact approximately (25.2 mm) one inch behind the contact barrel.
- Hold connector with rear grommet facing you.
- Push contact straight into connector grommet until a click is felt. A slight tug will confirm that it is properly locked in place.
- Once all contacts are in place, insert orange wedge will arrow pointing toward exterior locking mechanism. The orange wedge will snap into place. Rectangular wedges are not oriented. They may go in either way.
NOTE: The receptacle is shown - use the same procedure for plug
Contact Removal
- Remove orange wedge using needlenose pliers or a hook shaped wire to pull wedge straight out.
- To remove the contacts, gently pull wire backwards, while at the same time releasing the locking finger by moving it away from the contact with a screwdriver.
- Hold the rear seal in place, as removing the contact will displace the seal.

Contact Insertion
- Grasp contact approximately (25.4 mm) one inch behind the contact crimp barrel.
- Hold connector with rear grommet facing you.
- Push contact straight into connector grommet until a positive stop is felt. A slight tug will confirm that it is properly locked in place.
NOTE: For unused wire cavities, insert sealing plugs for full environmental sealing.
Contact Removal
- With rear insert toward you, snap appropriate size extractor tool over the wire of contact to be removed.
- Slide tool along into the insert cavity until it engages contact and resistance is felt.
- Pull contact-wire assembly out of connector.
NOTE: Do not twist or insert tool at an angle

- Hold connector with rear grommet facing you.
- Push contact straight into connector grommet until a positive stop is felt. A slight tug will confirm that it is properly locked in place.
Contact Removal
- With rear insert toward you, snap appropriate size extractor tool over the wire of contact to be removed.
-Slide tool along wire into the insert cavity until it engages contact and resistance is felt.
NOTE: Do not twist or insert tool at an angle.
- Pull contact-wire assembly out of connector.

Contact Insertion
- Grasp the contact-wire assembly between the thumb and forefinger on the wire approximately one inch behind the contact crimp barrel.
- Hold the connector with the rear grommet facing you.
- Push the contact straight into the connector grommet until a positive stop is felt. The retaining fingers in the connector will snap behind the shoulder of the contact and lock it in place. A slight tug will confirm that it is properly sealed.
Contact Removal
- With rear insert toward you, snap the appropriate size plastic tool over the wire of the contact to be removed.
- Slide the tool along the wire into the insert cavity until it engages the contact and resistance is felt. The contact retaining clip will be in the unlocked position.
- Pull the contact-wire assembly out of the connector.
