Chemical Protection Coatings-Image

Adelhelm protective coatings protect tanks, stirrers and pipes from being damaged by chemicals. Fluoroplastics are particularly suitable as chemical protection, due to their chemical resistance and thermal resistant properties. We achieve coating thicknesses of up to two millimeters with fluoropolymers such as E-CTFE (HalarĀ®), ETFE, FEP and PFA. Chief advantages include: Pore-free surfaces combining excellent non-stick properties, chemical resistance with outstanding barrier and permeation properties. The coatings provide protection against solvents, acids, alkalis, oxidizing and reducing agents.

For use at lower temperatures, and also for less aggressive chemicals, we recommend non-fluorinated coating materials such as PA, PPS, PP and EVAL.

Economical with added value

It is often possible to avoid the use of expensive specially alloyed metal substrates and instead coat materials such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel or other alloys thereby creating a safe and economical alternative. The right coating offers more than pure chemical protection. You can choose from a number of additional functions, for example non-stick, electrically insulating, electrically conductive or wear-resistant
