Energy performance of lifts, UNE-EN ISO 25745-1
Featured Product from AENOR
How to measure the actual energy consumption of lifts, escalators and moving walks on a single unit basis.
The new standard UNE-EN ISO 25745-1:2024 specifies a method to estimate energy consumption based on measured values of lifts, escalators and moving walks on a single unit basis.
It also describes the methods for carrying out periodic checks on the energy consumed in lifts, escalators and mobile walks when they are running.
In the case of escalators and mobile walks, this standard covers energy aspects of auxiliary equipment such as:
a) Lighting
b) Cooling and heating
c) Alarm devices and equipment of emergency power supply batteries, etc.
This part 1 of the standard focuses on energy measurement and verification.
It includes an Information Annex on the measuring instrument coupling points.
