Manual Glass Viscometers
CANNON Instrument Company® has been making glass capillary viscometers since 1938. We offer a variety of glass capillary viscometers because no single viscometer is ideally suited to every application. Use of high quality instruments ensures test reliability and accuracy. All CANNON glass capillary viscometers are traceable to a NIST calibration and manufactred in our ISO 9001-registered, A2LA-accredited laboratory. Our experienced staff is happy to assist you with viscometer selection. We offer the following viscometer types

Transparent
For transparent/translucent liquids

Suspended Level
For transparent/translucent liquids. Ideal for testing at multiple temperatures because they have the same viscometer constant at all temperatures.

Dilution
For dilution of polymer solutions to provide an estimate of the molecular size and shape.

Reverse Flow
For transparent and opaque liquids. Must be cleaned, dried and refilled between repeat determinations.

Vacuum
A special type of reverse-flow viscometer for highly viscous samples (transparent or opaque). Accurately controlled vacuum is required to pull the liquid through the viscometer.

A2LA Accreditation
A2LA has accredited CANNON for technical competence in the field of calibration (certificate number 1262.01) and the production of certified reference materials (certificate number 1262.02) . The ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation covers the calibration of glass capillary and cup viscometers, the determination of kinematic and dynamic viscosity (including that of viscosity standards and the viscosity certification of customer samples), and the provision of calibration services for viscometers and kinematic viscosity thermometers. The ISO/IEC Guide 34 accreditation covers the production of certified reference materials for kinematic and dynamic viscosity oil standards.
