The split-sheath design of Watt-Flex® heaters ensures contact with the bore through bi-lateral expansion. Contact with the bore maximizes heat transfer while reducing operating costs by consuming less power to maintain the set point temperature. Warranted removable from the bore, the split sheath design of Watt-Flex® also allows for ease of heater removal.  Watt-Flex® Heaters contract when de-energized to eliminate bore seizure and prevent damage to the bore.
