Grandi Salumifici Italiani – ifm moneo as a monitoring system for the mortadella production
Grandi Salumifici Italiani S.p.A. implements moneo in their production of salami and mortadella at their site in Modena. The IIOT system of ifm is called moneo and is installed inside the mortadella department to help monitor the machines. Due to the increase in volume, the machines were under great stress and were thus subjects to sudden breakdowns which resulted in damages in both production and productivity. Thanks to the monitoring system by ifm, Grandi Salumifici Italiana S.p.A. was able to prevent breakdowns and schedule downtimes for the replacement of parts at risk of damage.
