Coverage of the full measurement range from 0 % RH to 100 % RH is mandatory, while durability and signal stability have to remains always high, even if operated under elevated conditions over years.

The standard P14-W humidity sensor capacitor was developed to satisfy applications in HVAC, test & measurement, white goods and in industrial fields and is ideal for use in various application needs where long term durability under extreme conditions are a relevant factor for the functionality of a system.
Within meteorology applications, such as radio sondes and weather balloons, there is a strong need for ultrafast, stable and robust humidity sensors. Especially because of the elevated environmental constraints such as extreme low temperatures (below -80°C), high radiation levels and under constant change between condensation and drying process, the P14 Rapid sensor chip design guarantees outstanding stability providing fastest response time performances for meteorology market products.
The P14 2FW Thermo was designed for applications in dew point applications and humidity generators. The favorable one chip solution consists of a capacitive humidity sensor, based on the standard IST P14 sensor family, together with a heating element which is a full compliant Pt100 or Pt1000 sensor at the same time. The achieved outstanding measurement accuracy due to optimal thermal coupling provides cutting edge functionalities in the industry such as self-calibration capabilities for example.
Despite its very small size, the FemtoCap has excellent sensor characteristics that are required in areas such as consumer, automotive and white goods. In combination with external electronics, it offers an excellent cost to performance ratio. The Femtocap is following SMD standards and can be utilized in pick and place processes.
