Knight Optical supply precision optical components to customers with Heat Shielding requirements. Our IR-cut filters allow good transmission levels of visible light but cut off IR and UV radiation. Our precision grade filters have an AR coating to increase their visible transmission.
In many systems that require heat shielding while still needing visibility an IR-cut filter can be used. These can attenuate infrared radiation and allow through visible light, allows your temperature sensitive equipment to be used in more environments. They are also often used for systems that have high sensitivity to NIR light, such as camera sensors. As such these are often used in ANPR/ALPR and CCD or CMOS systems.
