Laser Cladding

Laser cladding is designed to withstand the most demanding environments.

The overlaying process applies a laser beam to fuse an immense range of materials from alloys to composites that contain ceramic compounds. This process ends up delivering a purer chemistry with a thinner, smoother overlay than traditional welding.

Laser cladding can strengthen and protect metallic components better than almost any other available method. The results of the overlays are metallurgically bonded and virtually impassable. This helps reduce equipment maintenance, repair and replacement costs.

Laser cladding is used on steel or cast iron yielding greater hardness than conventional heat-treating processes. This can produce a hardness at a depth of up to 2mm.
