Germanium window infrared windows with DLC coating
Featured Product from MOK Optics Co., Ltd.
Germanium
Germanium (Ge) is highly regarded for its exceptional transmission abilities within the 2-16 micron wavelength range, coupled with its opacity in the visible spectrum. These properties make it an ideal material for applications in biomedical and thermal imaging systems.
Commonly utilized as windows in thermal imaging systems and optical components, germanium can be customized into various forms such as windows, lenses, prisms, and other specialized shapes based on specific customer requirements.
MOK Optics capability:
At MOK Optics, we specialize in manufacturing germanium windows and lenses tailored to meet customer specifications. Germanium typically exhibits approximately 50% transmission efficiency at wavelengths ranging from 2 to 14 microns. To enhance performance, we offer anti-reflective (AR) coatings for germanium optics, as well as DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coatings for germanium windows.
